New Sign!

We have a new church sign!

Our new sign was created by Sign Language, Inc. in Perry. It has been in the design stage for the past few months. Now, it is reality!

Summer Schedule Ends!

We have been having a single worship service at 9:30am each Sunday during the months of July and August. Starting on Sunday, September 7th, worship will be at 8:45am and 10:45am, with Sunday School for all ages at 9:45am.

WNY Conference Gets New Bishop!

Bishop Marcus Matthews was assigned Episcopal leader of the New York West Area of The United Methodist Church. Bishop Matthews begins his tenure in Western New York on September 1, 2008. For more details, click here.

1883-2008: 125 Years Strong!

On April 10th, 1883, a meeting was held to elect the trustees of what would become Arkport Methodist Protestant Church. They acquired property on West Avenue and soon began construction. The following year, the first church was dedicated. Over the years, Arkport Methodist Protestant Church became Arkport Methodist Church (in 1939) and Arkport United Methodist Church (in 1968). Today we stand strong with 125 years under our belt, and many more to come. Praise the Lord!

Bishop Fisher's Sermon at General Conference

Bishop Fisher preached a powerful sermon on racism at the United Methodist General Conference in Fort Worth, preaching on the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. It can be viewed online in Windows Media format. This link brings up the entire morning's events.
